Chain Bridge Honey Farm
"I have known the Robson family for years. They make the very best honey (available from Northfield, of course) as well as a fantastic range of cosmetics and other honey related products. Chain Bridge Farm is moments away from the stunning River Tweed and is a fantastic place to visit."

" I first met Patrick Whenham-Bossy when he was sommelier at Hambleton Hall. Several years ago he struck out on his own founding first Transatlantic Wine and more recently Amphora. He is knowledgeable and infinitely patient and helpful. Only a few weeks ago he bought an Alsatian wine maker to visit the farm. Inevitably an impromptu tasting followed accompanied by Stilton Cheese. Patrick attends all our events at Northfield."

Borough Market Borough Market is also the country's most important market for fine foods.
"Northfield Farm has had a presence at Borough Market since the beginning of its new existence some 8 years ago. Put simply, without Borough, there would be no Northfield"

"They have just won the Daily Telegraph, best traditional business award. I bought a jacket made by them years ago, and it still looks as if it was made yesterday."

Leicestershire Rural Partnership
"The Leicestershire Rural Partnership's site, full of interesting points relating to activities with Leicestershire & Rutland. Easy site and very helpful people at the end of the telephone."

"Life at Northfield seems to be beginning to embrace various artistic endeavours. Stuart Ball is a painter living and working in Rutland. His site is well worth a visit. It has great content, obviously, but combines a quirky wit with a gentle but evangelical artistic passion and zeal."

"Sat Bains was kind enough to use a Northfield Farm Beef Sirloin as his main course recently when he won the first round of BBC 2's Great British Menu in April with his extraordinary cooking methods straddling the traditional and the cutting edge. We hung the beef for two months for him and I had the onerous task of tasting it before we sent it to the TV studios. Sat and I spent 7 hours at Northfield to produce 5 minutes of television about the farm. Despite Sat's aggressive and pugnacious style on television, I have found him to be both humble and passionate. I haven't eaten at his restaurant yet, but it is definitely on my list of things to do."

"This tiny, immaculate campsite has won a clutch of awards which tell you most of what you need to know. The owners, Ian & Sue, shop regularly at Northfield and cook a great breakfast, they are warm sunny people who obviously delight in welcoming people to the area. Their website has some great information and suggestions on activities in and around Rutland."
