Our free-range, corn-fed chicken legs are simply the thigh and the drumstick still attached to each other. The chicken legs we sell in our farm shop in Rutland, at our butchery at Borough Market, or via our online shop for mail order or local delivery, are produced at the same fantastic family farm as the whole Chickens and Christmas Cockerels we sell. Available on or off the bone, they are densely meaty, with sensational creamy yellow fat from the free ranging on grass, and the extra corn and maize that the birds are fed. They have a glorious deep flavour, and the crispy chicken skin is next level! Like the separated thighs and drumsticks, they are wonderful marinated for curries or jerk chicken, barbequed or simply roasted in the oven with salt, pepper, paprika and lemon on the skin. They can also be boned out, then stuffed with sausagemeat or stuffing before roasting!
