TERMS & CONDITIONS

Our Contract

You form a contract with Northfield Farm Ltd once your order has been placed and processed. We will confirm receipt of your order by sending you and “Order Confirmation Email” or by otherwise confirming your order back to you. The contract is complete when the goods are received.

Your Account

You can create an account with us by purchasing through our website, over the phone or at one of our shops/markets. Please ensure that the details you provide a correct, complete and update, and inform us immediately of any changes in those details.

Ordering & Dispatch

As most of our products are grown/sourced from small, speciality producers and in most cases are cut/produced especially for you, we may require some notice to dispatch goods.

We deliver nationwide every Wednesday & Thursday.  We deliver locally every Tuesday-Saturday; you can check the earliest available date as you add items to your basket.

Amendments

We cannot guarantee that once an order has been placed and paid for, any amendments can be made. If you do wish to amend your order you must notify us by phone as soon as possible and provided the order has not been submitted we will endeavor to amend it.

Payment

All payments are taken at the time the order is placed. We will not reserve or dispatch goods before payment us received. We accept payment with Visa and Mastercard.

All products quoted on the website and in our marketing leaflets/price lists are in GBP and where appropriate include Value Added Tax. We reserve the right to prices of products displayed on our website without prior notice.

Delivery Charges

  • UK Mainland: £9.95 next day 9am-5pm

Product Descriptions & Specifications

We make every effort to ensure that the goods displayed on our website and in our marketing conform to the descriptions and photographs. The colours you see may vary depending on the resolution of your monitor’s display and therefore we cannot guarantee that the colour depicted on your screen will always accurately reflect the colour of the item delivered.

We reserve the right to vary the dimensions, specifications, descriptions and quantities of products displayed on our website without prior notice.

Allergens

All products are produced in nut environments and accordingly may contain nuts. We have identified where possible products which contain allergens, however we would advise customers with allergies to check the manufacturer’s label.

Age Restrictions & Alcohol

We only sell items to those aged 18 and over. By placing an order with us it is confirmation that you are of legal age. It is illegal to buy restricted products if you are under age or for someone else who is under age.

Freezing & Shelf Life

Unless otherwise stated and where possible shelf life is indicated on our website. If you need a product to keep until a particular date, please ask at the time of ordering.

Gift Messages

A personal gift message can be included with all orders which will be attached to the inside lid of the packaging.

Cancellations

As our products are prepared fresh and produced to order, we regret that once an order is placed it is not possible to cancel it and refunds cannot be given. Similarly once dispatched we are unable to stop delivery or cancel the order.

Returns

If your package appears to be damaged please do not refuse to accept the delivery but contact us as soon as possible. Accepting a damaged delivery will not affect your rights. Refusing delivery without first consulting us will only result in the goods being disposed of by the courier.

Delivery

All deliveries will be left safe if you are out; this is fresh food so there will be no re-delivery. You will receive a text/email notification regarding your delivery from our courier. If you have delivery or leave safe instructions please advise us when placing your order. It is your responsibility to ensure that you can receive the parcel on your delivery date or that it can be left safe. If buying a gift, it is your responsibility to notify the recipient of the parcel’s arrival. We cannot accept responsibility for addresses or dates provided incorrectly. A telephone number, preferably mobile, must be provided with the order and if you have provided an email address then you should also receive a tracking email from our courier company which you can use to check you delivery’s progress.

Please note that we may not be able to track the exact location of you parcel nor estimate a delivery time. We will do our best, however, to find out this information for you. Delivery times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made to delivery times any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible.

Unforeseen Circumstances

Whilst every effort will be made to meet customers’ demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of an Act of God, War, Strike, Lockout, Labour Dispute, Fire, Flood, Drought, Severe Weather or other causes beyond the control of Northfield Farm Ltd.

Limitation of Liability

We cannot accept liability for any consequential loss, damage or expense caused by a failure in our service of any sort. This includes the cost of purchases made to replace an order that fails to arrive for any reason

Supplier Capacity

Most of our suppliers are small-scale, independent producers; therefore all products are subject to availability. In the event of a product being unavailable we will contact you to arrange an alternative, issue a refund or a credit on your account for a future order

Complaints Procedure

It is your responsibility to check your order carefully immediately on receipt of goods. In the unlikely event of goods being unsatisfactory, damaged or incomplete you should accept delivery and contact us within 2 working days. After this period has elapsed we will be unable to consider reimbursements. Please do not return or dispose of any goods without first contacting us.

Use of Images

If we find that other company has used one of our pictures without prior permission, they will be required to remove it and they will receive an invoice for £1000 payable within 7 days or face court action.
