Free Range Goose
Price range: £ 112.28 through £ 143.46
A roast goose serves as the quintessential centerpiece for the classic Christmas feast, steeped in centuries of tradition and cherished for its sumptuous, succulent meat that delights the palates of all who gather around the holiday table.
As the birds grow we supplement their supply of fresh grass with a mixture of home produced Wheat and vegetable based protein. This diet contains no growth promoters or artificial additives and goes to ensure the geese are fully fleshed when they reach maturity.
All Geese come with giblets and an extra lot of fat from the insides for your roasties!
Preparation
Once the birds are fully mature they are prepared on farm in the traditional manner in our purpose built processing facilities. This involves dry plucking and hanging for a minimum of 10 days in chilled conditions to develop a fuller flavour. The processes used are labour intensive, but they do go to ensure that the birds produced are of the very best quality for the final customer

The goose was very tasty, the giblets made lovely gravy and the fat will be used for roast potatoes

Fantastic quality goose and sausage meat for Christmas. I was absolutely overwhelmed with the service of the kind young man at Oakham Market who carried it home for a very laden down lady collecting her Christmas orders! What an amazing gesture of good old fashioned kindness and thoughtfulness. Please pass on my thanks to all at Northfield Farm for their top quality meat and outstanding service to their customers. Wishing you all a successful 2024!

Second time ever having goose, 100x better than the one we had previously (frozen supermarket) bare in mind, if you have never had a goose before, they are super fatty! (Great for roast potatoes)

Came well packed, with separate giblets and fat and was extremely good. Would certainly buy another one.
