Porchetta is believed to date back to the days of the Roman Empire, where a whole pig would be boned and rolled around wild herbs and cooked in a cooling bread oven for 8-12 hours. We cannot claim to have been making our Porchetta quite as long as this – but we are blessed with many Italian butchers in Rutland and at Borough Market, and believe that we make one of the finest Porchettas available both locally and online.
Porchetta is available year round, although is particularly popular at Christmas and New Year. Order a Porchetta joint for your next celebration – you will not be disappointed!
