Often underrated, diced pork is one of the most versatile cuts of meat, ideal for everything from hearty casseroles and stews to fragrant curries, vibrant skewers, and traditional pies. At Northfield Farm, we prepare our diced pork from the leg – a beautifully lean cut that is tender, flavoursome, and a natural partner to spices, herbs, and marinades.
Our free-range, outdoor-bred pork mature slowly, producing meat with depth of flavour and quality you won’t find in intensively farmed pork. Whether you’re cooking a weeknight family dinner or experimenting with global recipes, diced pork is the perfect cut for both everyday cooking and special occasions.
How to Cook Diced Pork
- For Slow-Cooked Stews & Casseroles:
Brown the pork cubes in a little oil, then add onions, garlic, herbs, stock and vegetables. Simmer gently on the hob or in the oven at 160°C (140°C fan) for 1.5–2 hours, until tender. - For Curries & Spiced Dishes:
Marinate diced pork in spices, garlic, ginger, and Yoghurt or vinegar-based marinades for a few hours before cooking. Cook slowly on the hob or in the oven until meltingly soft. - For Kebabs & BBQ:
Marinate diced pork with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, chilli and fresh herbs. Thread onto skewers and grill over hot coals or under a preheated grill at 200°C (180°C fan) for 10–15 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through. - For Stir-Fries:
Cook quickly in a hot wok with ginger, soy, garlic and vegetables. Diced pork is the key to authentic sweet & sour pork.
