Our Spicy Italian Sausages are simply just coarsely chopped Pork, Garlic, Fennel Seeds, Green & Red Chili. No Rusk, no preservatives, just a heavenly meaty sausage.
Northfield Farm make these divine naturally gluten free pork sausages every week. They follow a recipe shared with us by our master butcher Piero, who hails from Puglia in Southern Italy.
They contain fresh herbs, fresh garlic and a touch of fresh red chilli for heat, together with a few secret seasonings for the magic to happen! They are delicious with roasted mediterranean vegetables or cooked on the barbeque. They are also fabulous with garlicky roast potatoes, tomato & red onion salad and wholegrain Mustard Mayonnaise. We have customers who adore our spicy Italian sausages in any recipe that calls for Chorizo, including for breakfast with sourdough bread, poached Eggs and avocado.
They work magnificently also as an ingredient in any pasta sauce recipe calling for an Italian sausage at its base. Try some next time you visit our shop on the farm, our Butchery trailer at Oakham or Uppingham Market or our stand at Borough Market.
