Pork Loin Chops
Price range: £ 3.50 through £ 8.75
Free-range Pork Loin Chops with a juicy fat layer, perfect for pan-frying, grilling, or roasting. Tender, flavourful, and versatile.
Free-Range Pork Loin Chops – Juicy, Flavourful & Versatile
Our Pork Loin Chops come from free-range, outdoor-bred pigs. Each chop features a generous layer of fat between the eye of the meat and the rind, typically 1-3cm, which bastes the meat as it cooks, creating succulent, flavour-packed chops.
The fat is essential for flavour, so always cook with it on. If you prefer, you can render off excess fat into homemade lard for future roasting or pastry-making. These chops are a versatile favourite, perfect for pan-frying, grilling, or roasting. They can be cut thick for a hearty main course or thinner for a quicker midweek treat; just let us know your preference in the notes section on checkout.
Cooking Instructions
Pan-Fried or Grilled Chops
- Preheat a heavy pan or grill to medium-high heat.
- Season chops generously with sea salt and cracked black pepper, plus optional herbs like rosemary or thyme.
- Fry or grill each side for 3-5 minutes for 2–3cm thick chops, adjusting for thickness.
- Rest the chops for 3-5 minutes before serving to lock in juices.
Oven-Roasted Chops
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan 160°C / gas mark 4).
- Place chops in a roasting tray, fat side up, and season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Roast for 25-30 minutes for 2-3cm thick chops, or until internal temperature reaches 65-70°C for perfectly cooked pork.
- Rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Serving Suggestions
- Pair with free-range pork sausages for a full pork-themed meal.
- Try alongside roasted vegetables, creamy mash, or a fresh seasonal salad.
- Drizzle with pan juices or a simple Mustard sauce for extra depth of flavour.

The pork from Northfield is always outstanding. The flavour is superb. The quality of the meat is shown by the purity and flavour of the rendered fat, which we save and use.
